Customization Begins With Constraints
A useful custom showcase is not a standard cabinet with a different paint color. It begins with the object, the room and the operating routine. The product may need a shaped plinth, hidden charging, controlled lighting, additional security or quick access for daily replacement. A 55-inch transparent LCD provides the visual layer, but the enclosure determines whether the installation works after launch day.
Prepare a short project brief before requesting a price. Include the object size and weight, visitor distance, available floor area, brand materials, opening method, content source and who will maintain the unit.
The Drawing Is the Real Product Definition
Exterior dimensions alone are not enough. The approval drawing should identify active display area, internal clear volume, shelf load, door swing, lock, hinges, lighting, ventilation, speakers, touch frame, player, power supply and cable exit. It should also show which panels can be removed for service.
If the cabinet fits into existing furniture, provide construction tolerances and surrounding materials. Allow airflow and access even when scenic panels are installed. The system integrator, furniture contractor and display supplier should approve one coordinated drawing.
Create Depth Without Overclaiming Projection
Stereoscopic or 3D-style content can use perspective, shadows and alignment to create a sense of depth around a real product. The effect comes from media composition on a transparent LCD and the physical spacing inside the cabinet. It is not conventional projection and should not be sold as a free-floating hologram.
Content producers need the final resolution, object position and background color. A full-size test with the intended product is essential because transparent media looks different from an ordinary computer preview.

Finish, Lighting and Security Work as One System
A glossy branded finish may look attractive in a sample but increase reflections near the screen. Internal lighting must reveal the object without washing out graphics. Locks and hinges should support the required security level without becoming visual distractions.
For jewelry or high-value goods, involve the retailer’s security team. For museums, involve conservation staff. Custom design should meet the real risk and access requirement rather than relying on a generic cabinet lock.
How to Compare Custom Quotations
Ask suppliers to separate the panel, touch system, player or PC, cabinet fabrication, lighting, software, packing and installation scope. Compare drawings and included functions, not only the total price. Note which items require buyer-provided content, network or external integration.
A prototype or factory acceptance video should show the real opening method, object access, touch, playback, lighting and restart sequence. Confirm finish samples and final specification before mass production.
Customization FAQ
Can cabinet color and dimensions be changed?
Yes, subject to panel geometry, structural, thermal and service requirements.
What causes custom projects to be delayed?
Late object dimensions, changing access requirements and content produced before the cabinet drawing is approved.
Can ZXTLCD supply only the hardware?
Project scope may be configured around hardware, player, touch and cabinet needs; confirm responsibilities in the quotation.

Freeze the Custom Scope in Stages
Use three approval gates. First approve the functional brief: object, users, interaction and site. Next approve the coordinated mechanical drawing and finish samples. Finally approve a factory test with representative media and merchandise. Changes become more expensive after each gate, so record who can authorize revisions. For multiple units, identify a golden sample before production and compare later cabinets against it. This staged process gives marketing room to refine content while protecting the structural decisions that affect safety, cooling and access. It also provides a clearer basis for discussing price changes than an open-ended request for customization.
Request a Cabinet Proposal
Send the object dimensions and weight, installation drawing, viewing distance, required touch or playback configuration, cabinet finish, access method and delivery destination. These details allow ZXTLCD to confirm a project-specific transparent showcase rather than quote a screen with an undefined enclosure.
