Infrared touch detects interruptions across a light grid and can support fingers, gloves or opaque pointers depending on the selected controller. On a 75-inch cabinet, this can suit public exhibits where several visitors or a presenter need a large interactive surface.
The frame requires clear edges and careful mechanical integration. Decorative trim, dust or objects resting in the detection path can create false input.
Define how many people can realistically stand at the screen and what they do together. Multi-touch is valuable for shared comparison, model manipulation or collaborative learning. It adds little when the application only presents single-choice buttons.
Specify accepted gestures, touch-point count, minimum target size and whether independent actions may occur simultaneously.
Confirm bezel depth, glass arrangement, active touch area, product zone and service access. Place frequent controls within comfortable reach rather than spreading them across the full 75-inch surface.
The cabinet must also define object load, internal volume, door, lock, lighting, ventilation, player and protected routing for the IR controller and USB connection.

Test the final operating system, computer, driver and application at maximum intended touch load. Include long USB runs and hubs used on site. Verify edge accuracy, gesture response, idle reset and cold-start recovery.
A hardware touch count does not guarantee that the application can interpret the same number of inputs correctly.
Observe users of different heights and abilities. Check whether they block one another, lean on the frame or obscure the physical product. Provide a single-user path and an automatic attract loop when no one interacts.
Cleaning staff need instructions for both the glass and IR frame. Service teams should have a diagnostic view that does not expose system settings publicly.
Specified touch points, gestures, edge accuracy, restart, application reset and full cabinet operation.
Often, but test the actual glove with the selected infrared frame.
Only when explicitly stated; touch hardware and interactive software are separate project layers.

Ask the proposal to name the infrared frame, controller, communication interface, supported operating systems and rated touch points. Request a short factory video showing the specified application or a diagnostic tool detecting simultaneous input. Generic wording such as “multi-touch supported” is difficult to verify and does not help future replacement.
The final acceptance sheet should list test devices, cable length, glass configuration and software version. Include repeated edge touches, two-handed gestures, idle reset, power interruption and an obstruction placed near the frame. Keep the driver, calibration utility and wiring diagram with the project documentation. If later units use a different controller revision, run the same test again rather than assuming identical behaviour.
For large public touch, accessibility belongs in the evaluation. Check approach space, control height, text size, contrast, interaction timeouts and whether all essential information is available without complex gestures. Provide captions for audio and avoid requiring two-handed input for the only route through the content. If the cabinet is used in education or a public institution, involve the accessibility reviewer before application development is complete. Hardware can pass a touch test while the overall experience remains difficult to use.
Send the interface prototype, expected user count, product dimensions, computer platform and site conditions. ZXTLCD can confirm the IR touch assembly and cabinet structure against measurable acceptance criteria.
